GERMAN. PROPAGANDA
MINISTER RECALLED FROM MEXICO. MEXICO CUT, December 21. Von Eckhardt, German .Minister to Mexico, has been recalled to Germany. NEW YORK, December 22.
The recall of von Eckhardt is regarded as the death-blow to Germaninspired propaganda, and is the forerunner of the dismissal from their posts of all the' German consular, officials who have used their official positions to promote ill-feeling among the Mexicans against the United States. It 'is probable that all the German newspapers will cease publishing after von Eckhardt's withdrawal. Without his financial aid it is unlikely that they will continue to appear. It is common talk that von Ecknnrdt has been recalkxl at the direct instigation of the United States. He will, be granted safe conduct through tho United States if he desires to travel by that route. It is expected that he will leave within a few days.
