ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
TRAIN COLLIDES WITH MOTOR LORRY. , [Per Press Association.] MASTERTON, September 23. The train from the north this afterneon collided with a motor lorry driven by Robert Boattio, at the railway station. Tho lorry was considerably smashed about, and Beattie was> admitted to the hospital suffering from seyere injuries to- the head and left eye.
INJURED BY EXPLOSION [Per Press Association.]
TAUMARUNBI, September 23. Archibald Kit to, a returned soldier who was twice wounded, and Tom Borthwick, a married man, were badly injured by an explosion in the Okahutunnel this morning. Kitto was injured in tho head and sustained fractures of the arm and leg. Borthwick received eyo injuries. Both men were taken by "special train to Taumarunui Hospital. MOTOR-CYCLING FATALITY.
Edward Bollington, who was admitted on Saturday to the Hospital suffering from severe injuries, the result of a collision with a cart while riding a motor-cycle, died at 8 a.m. ■ yesterdayAn inquest will be held at 4 p.m. today.
