STYX GUN CLUB.

The first of • series of three handicap ahcoiß for a trophy donated to the Styx (J un Club by Mr I l '. Sieson was held on the .club’s ground, Harewood Road, on Saturday'"The shoot consisted of ton sjpaxroi.ton pigeons and ton days, the trophy to be won by iho member obtaining the greatest number of kills and breaks over the throe shoots. At each shoot an optional swoopstake will bo inchidotl, tho winnor in eaoh event to roceivc 00 per cent, second 30 per cent and third 10 per cent of sweep. There were only twe.ve competitors. Tho woathor was bitterly cold, and the attendance small. The results uro ns follows:—II. Ayres (21yds), J. Skilling (20yds), W. Chisnnll (21yds), F. Truscott (21yds), E. Tisch (19yds) and C. Jamieson (ih-'lsj, each nine birds; IV. Reed (22yds), eight birds; E. Hammond (22yds), J. Pepper (19yds) and S. Neate (17ydB), each seven birds; N. Donald (19yds), fivo birds: 11. M’Konzio (18vds), four birds. Ayres, Skilling, Chisnnll, Truscott, Tisch and Jamieson divided tho money. In a second handicap Pweopstake at seven sparrows, J. Skilling (22yds), W. Jntnioson (21yds), five birds; i. Truscott (22yds). four birds; and S. Heats (17yds), three birds. N. Donald retired. Skilling, Chisnnll, Jamieson and Smith divided the money. Reed took first money, Skilling second money and Jamieson, Nente, Smith, Peppor, Truscott and Chisnall divided third money.
