LIVERPOOL FUND CONCERT.

There was the usual large attendance tt the Theatre Royal last evening on •he occasion of the ninth concert of tno jeries organised by Mrs Burnes-Lougn-nan on behalf of the Lady Liverpool Christmas Parcels Fund. The Christchurch Orchestral Society s orchestra, under the conductorship of Mr Alrrea Bunz, was the principal contributor to the programme, playing the overture “ Gaoriello ” (Rosse) and the ' Coronation March” from Meyerbeer s Lo Prophete"” in splendid style. Madame Gowor-Burns sang the aria Hoar Ye, .Israel,” from "Elijah,” and Tscha.iIcowsky’s “ Legendo.” She was in excellent voice and was twice encored, responding on one occasion only, when sho sang "Ho Shall I'eed Hm Flock, from “The Messiah.’ Mrs Vere Livingstone's pianoforte solos, Romance, Op. 28 (Schumann), and Leschetizkys Toccata were charmingly played _ and enthusiastically encored.' Mr Frank Charles fleered with his songs Ihe Lord is My Light ” (Allitsen) and ‘The Trumpeter ” (BLx).
