NEXT YEAR’S MODERATOR. , [Pkh Prbso Association.] DUNEDIN. November 24. At tbe Presbyterian Assembly to-day it was announced that tho Presbyteries had nominated for Moderatorslnp in 1918 Professor Hewitson, _ the. Revs Asher J. Gumming, Currie and' Gray: Dixon’. The first four named withdrew their names, and tho Rev Gray Dixon was elected Moderator. The Assembly appointed Mr John Bbsctt, of Auckland, Assembly evangelist at a salary of £3OO, with travelling expenses and £SO house allowance. The Rey J. Gumming was appointed an Assembly evangelist without financial responsibility.
