SHIPPING PROBLEM.
[Per Press Association.]
WELLINGTON, July 4
A representative meeting of pastoralists and dairy farmers to-day discussed the export problem. It was decided to ask the president of the Farmers' Union to call meetings of farmers in each centre to discuss the matter and appoint delegates to attend a Dominion conference. To-day's meeting expressed the opinion that in order to encourage the erection of additional cold stoT-age accommodation for dairy produce, tho Government should pay storage on the same basis as the arrangements for meat. The meeting finally passed a resolution that should the necessity arise for the sacrifice of exports such sacrifice should be made, mutually by all producers.
