MEDICAL EXAMINATION.
QUESTION IN THE HOUSE.
[From O' " rviRREsroNDENT.] WELLINGTON, July 4
Replying to Mr Witty's question criticising a recent medical examination under tho Military Service Act in Christchurch tlio Minister of Defence explains that some men who were classed "A and passed as fit fc/r foreign service were re-examined shortly afterwards and classed " C2," found fit for home service only. Re-examin-ation is authorised by tho DirectorGeneral of Medical Services or a medical officer deputed by him upon evidence being submitted which justifies a re-examination. The medical examination papers of all unfit men, including "C2" men, aro now being scrutinised. All men found fit on re-cxamination will be sent into camp.
