The Islington works will close down nu Saturday, July 21, for tho season. Cattle will continuo to be treated by arrangement.
Dr H. T. J. Thacker had (given notice to move at yesterday's meeting of the Lyttelton Harbour Board--" That the engineer bo instructed to »eport on alternative schemes to eliminate ihe regent disabilities of the Lyttelton railway and prevent a recurrence of the Bame." Owing to the unavoidable abjsence of Dr Thacker, however, the discussion 'was postponed till tho nest meeting of the board.
