Thacker had (given notice to move at yesterday's meeting of the Lyttelton Harbour Board--" That the engineer bo instructed to »eport on alternative schemes to eliminate ihe regent disabilities of the Lyttelton railway and prevent a recurrence of the Bame." Owing to the unavoidable abjsence of Dr Thacker, however, the discussion 'was postponed till tho nest meeting of the board.
