CONTROL IN BRITAIN.

WELLINGTON, July 4. Answering complaints of profiteering in New Zealand meat in England, Mr Massey says it is* understood that the Food Controller intends to fbc maximum retail prices for all descriptions of meat. The High Commissioner advised on June 20 that. no excessive profits were being made on New Zealand meat, unless by retailers who were uncontrolled.

The Prime Minister subsequently stated that it would be announced in a couple of days by .the British Food Controller that he is fixing the retail price of New Zealand meat.
