SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
EAST ' CHBISTCHUBCH.
The East Christchurch. District School Committee met on Monday evening; present—Mr A. Peverill (acting chairman), Grutnmitt, Allard and Harvey. The acting head master reported that the average attendance Bince last report had been 614, out of 652. Miss Menzies stated that since last report the average at the main infants' sohool had been 316 4 out of 377, while Miss Bobinson advised that the average at Phillipstown had been v 352 out of 413. Accounts amounting to £l4 a6s 6d were passed for payment.
