ROSE SHOW.

ST JOHN'S PRESBYTERIAN' CHURCH, LYTTELTON. The second annual rose- show and side of work under tho auspices of St John's Presbyterian Church, Lyttelton, was held yesterday. The shew was held in a marquee erected in the church grounds-, and the abundant light gave the blooms a most picturesque appearance. Generally speaking the quality of the exhibits was much superior to that of last year. The display of locally grown vegetables, too, was eminently satisfactory. Tho show was opened by the Mayor (Mr W. Radcliffo), who in a b'riof address complimented the committee and the exhibitors on the excellent display, which, in his opinion, was a credit to the Port. _ Tho stall-holders were na follow!: Refreshments, Meadames Clow, G.
