SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
BECKENHAM. The Beckenham School Committee met ok Tuesday night: present Charters (chairman), Bullen, Bo:n, M'Aiister, Judkins . mid Talbot. Mr V. Carlisle wr.s unanimously elected as honorary secretary and treasurer, vice Mr IT. Baylcy, who has left the district. A very fine flag pole has been .erected in- the school grounds, and a hearty voto of thanks was passed to Mr F. !«• Withell, who fixed the pole and gear without charge to the committee. .Satisfaction was expressed at the decision of the City Council not to interfere with the springs in the Beckenham Park, r.r.d a vote oF thanks was passed to Councillor Peck and other members of the connoil who. had opposed the proposal. The Inspector’s report, was a highly satisfactory cue, and it was resolved to convey to tho head master and staff the committee's appreciation of the sncccssfnl work of the school. Pleasure was expressed that the attendance's*. Beckenham School had not been affected by the prevailing epidemic.
