TERRITORIAL CAMP.
13xn REGIMENT AT RANGIORA. The syllabus of training is being thorGMghly well carried out at the concentration camp of the 13th (North Canterbury and Westland) Regiment at Rangiora. More than, two-thirds of the men in camp are under recruiting age, and many of them knew little of no drill. They are, however, responding well to the training, and a marked difference was noticeable in th® drill after four days’ work. On Tuesday evening Major T. R.* Cress well gavo an interesting lecture to the men on “British Influence in the Persian Gulf.” Yesterday Colonel Chaffey, Office* Commanding the Canterbury Military District, accompanied by Major W. CFinnis, General Staff Officer, made an inspection of the camp. Last evening a party of Rangiora performers gave, a concert in the C.E.M.S. Institute marquee, and had an appreciative audience. The C.E.M.S* Institute is in charge of Mr Adams. ■ To-day and to-morrow elementary field exorcises will be practised at the racecourse. - j
