SWIMMING.

LE ESTON CLUB. The annual meeting of the Leeston Ama« teur Swimming Club was held on Monday evening, th© president, Mr A. T. Robertson, presiding over a good attendance. The report stated that the club had experienced a successful season, but had been unfortunate in losing the services of Mr E. - Lloyd as secretary, and' Mr C. J: Cradock as captain, through removal from the district. Six members of th© club were at th© front, and others were waiting to be called upt The committee had decided to keep the mem-. ~ bers who had gone or were going to the front ( on tho books as honorary members. It wa* hoped that the ladies would patronise th# bath better in future. The annual carnival had been a success, although held in a busy , season. -Thanks were due to the ladies for their' attendance’ and help and to thosa who had given donations. The balance-sheet showed a. credit of £4 18s sd. The report and balance-sheot were adopted. Officers were elected as follow —Patron, Hon R. H. Rhodes, M.P.; president, Mr A. v T.
