RIVER BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The South Wnimakariri River Board met. yesterday ; present—Messrs IV. l*. Spencer (chairman), F. E. Jones, A. S. Bruce, AY. H. Perymau. J, Burgess, K. Bowden. J. B. Laurenson and T. Leslie. The qverst'er reported that during tho month there had been only one small flood in tiie river, but no damage had been done to any of the works. A slight alteration had taken place in the course of the river at tho last- embankment erected at tho upper works. "• Tho river was making in towards the end of the bank at this place.
