DEANS’S BUSH.

VISIT OF INSPECTION. The Mayor and other members of the' Board of Trustees of Deans’s Bush, Riccarton, visited the bush yesterday and inspected the reserve. Mr Holland stated that the bush was looking very beautiful. Tho recent heavy rains had been very beneficial* to tho native plants, which were bright, healthy and thriving. The blackberry, gorse and other introduced plants, which threatened to invade parts of the reserve, were in hand now, and were no longer a menace to Dia natives. . . It is intended to have an openin' ceremony soon, when the bush t thrown open to tho public.
