Myers, Minister of Munitions, 1 stated to-day that as the case of'Levy was still sub judice,. he could not make any statement on the subject, except to say that the cancellation of the contract would • not make any difference so far as obtaining supplies. was concerned. Arrangements had been made jpr’ the completion of the balance of tne contract, said the Minister. - V • . • - - “ • ' “The rumour that I had• cancelled the contract of another clothing manu- - facturer owing to the use of cotton; instead of linen, thread was correct,” added Mr Myers. In reply to a query as to the damage done in the recent fire at Trenthani, he said it had been found that the loss / was not so serious as was at first anti- " cipated. “In arty case'the- holding of reserve stocks has disposed, of any difficulty likely to have been .experienced in the supplying of equipments for reinforcements that-enter camp, ’ explained the Minister.
