Of these seven were passed as fit and four were rejected. NEW BRIGHTON COAIAIITTEE. The New Brighten Recruiting Committee met last evening, the Mayor (Mr J. A. Fleslter) presiding. The attendance was very disappointing, -and after a brief discussion • tho meeting was adjourned to Alonday evening. Unless greater interest is shown in the meetings of the committee, it is proposed to abandon the canvass of the district,, which was arranged mainly in tho interests of tee married men. KAIAPOI AREA. TWELVE ENLISTMENTS YESTERDAY. Twelve enlistments were rocorded at the Kaiapoi area office yesterday. The medical examination resulted in eight moil being declared fit and four unfit.
