The New Zealand Dental Association Conference 1 adopted a resolution favouring tHq institution of a diploma in dentistry "m this country, of slightly lower standard than the present Bachelor of DentaY Science degree. A defence fuud for members of the association was also *stablished. The following office-bearers were elected for the coming year:—President; Captain M. !$. Denniston (Weilington); vice-president and presidentelect, Mr F. Wasburn s (Timaru): chairman of executive, Mr J, N. -Bishwort -1 - (Auckland); honorary treasurer, Mr TV. R. Reyburn (Auckland) ;/Konorary feeretary, Mr C. H. Moses (Auckland).
