FAILING TO ATTEND DRILL. A number \of Senior Cadets were chaxgea 'at the Magistrate's Court, before Mr T. A. B. Bailey; S.M., yesterday with failing to attend parous. Lieutenant Hawkins prosecuted. The excuses offered by the lads did not lack variety, ranging over serious illness, distance f rom • ChristchurclT, home and business duties, "did not know," joining the fire brigade, weak back, stopped by employer, night worn on newspaper, "forgot," etc. Two lads candidly admitted that they had uc excuse.
