In acknowledging the receipt of a donation from Springston Red Cross (per Mrs Umber), the amount was stated as being £2 ‘2s. It should have been £lO. The Lady Liverpool Ccmrpittee is making a special appeal for fruit for the use of the soldiers on the troopships, and would like all gift* at the depot, Lichfield Street,, not later than Monday, February 28. - Any gift-s from country friends may be railed free if addressed to the Lady Liverpool CommitAt a meeting of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association, held on Monday, it was decided to hold a form of American tournament, lasting cue day, the proceeds to be devoted to the Liverpool Fund.
