THE LIVERPOOL FUND.
LADY LIVERPOOL'S VISIT TO THE DEPOT. Her Excellency Lady Liverpool visited the Liverpool Depot yesterday, and was shown round by the Mayoress. Her Excellency's deep interest in the New Zealand's soldiers was evinced in every detail as she watched' the busy routine of the' Depot, now fully embarked on every department of the'year's work, and putting forth specia 1 efforts for the next reinforcements. Her Excellency has consented to open the new depot in Colombo Street in about, a fortnight'* time. During her visit a. suggestion was made that those who can snare fruit might send it in to the Depot in cases, to be transmitted at once to men in ciVnip or to troopships. Mrs Holland is ready to receive, such contributions, at once.
