Playing against Normal, Waltham made 159 for seven wickets and declared the innings closed (Elvy 97). Normal replied with 23 (W. Kin- 12)." . •; , West Christchurch, batting against \\oolston, made 228 for six wickets (Dorreen 70, Bush 50 retired, M'Kenzie 43 retired).' Woolston made 35 (Choat 10). For West Christchurch Ditchficld took six wickets for 10 runs, and Bush three for 13 runs. Bateman bowled beat for Woolston. ■ v Marist Brothers' School made 124 (Dobbs 39, Soster 23, Collett 22), against Addington, who were dismissed for 19 (Shackleton 10). For the winners Collett took seven wickets for 8 runs.
A match was played at Lancaster Park on Saturday between the Veterans' Club and a team from the Linwood Club, the latter wirning by 30 runs. Veterans batting made 129 (Rattray 23, Evans 20). Linwood scored IW (Forsvth 50 retired, S. Kirk 21).
