STYX GUN CLUB.
THIRD SHOOT. In fine weather and in the presence of a moderate attendance of members and visitors, the Styx Gun Club's third shoot, on this occasion at clay pigeon?, took place at the club's range for the trophy presented by Mr T. Higham. The winner was J. Pepper, who shot' remarkably well, getting all his birds, A. Buckly being second, and J. Tnlett third. Pepper also won the special prize donated by Mr J.. Claridgo for most birds off tho first barrel in the three competitions T. . Prebble being second. At the presentation of prizes bv the president (Mr A. Buckley), the winners received quite an ovation. Other sweepstakes at pigeons were fired off. Ihe results were as follow: First Sweepstake Handicap, ten clay pigeons—J. Pepper (15yds) ten birds; J. Simpson (20yds), eight birds; J. iulctt (11 yds); eight birds; T. Prebble (16yds), seven birds; A. Buckley (12yds), seven birds; J. Smith (10yds), seven 1 birds; J. Cairns (Byds), six birds; F. Truscott <l4yds), six birds; N. Donald (10yds), five birds; F. Veitch (10yds), four birds. Pepper was first, and Simpson and Tulett divided second money. Second Sweepstake Handicap, five pigeons —T. Prebble (26yds), five birds; F. Truscott (26vds), five birds; J. Simpson (26yds), five b : rds- J. Cairns (23vds), fivo birds; J. Pepper (27vds), four birds; A. Buckley (22yds), four birds; R.' M'Cullough (38yds), four birds.; J. Tulett (26yds), four birds; J. Smith (25yds), four birds; A. Fairbairn (21yds), three birds; F. Claridge (22yds), three birds; T. Veitch (22yds), two birds; N.
