SOLDIERS’ GROUP.

MOONLIGHT EXCURSION. A moonlight marine excursion under the auspices of the Soldiers' Queen Group was held at Lyttelton on Saturday night, the steamers Monica, 1 urau and John Anderson taking part. There was a large attendance and the opportunity was taken to give a hearty sendoff to members of the Tenth Reinforcements who were on final leave.

, CAFE CHANTANT. \ "Cafe CT.aiitant" will be established at the Art Gallery on Thursday from 2.30 p.m. to (5 p.m. and .p.m. to 11 p.m.. in aid ot the Soldiers Queen. The proceedings will include a bazaar refreshments will be obtainable, and an attractive musical programme has been arranged. Gifts for the stalls will be acceptable, and these should be sent to the Art Gallery on Yjednesday afternoon or Thursday morning. Tho committee which is organising the function will meet at the Chrisichurch Hospital at 7.30 p.m. to-day.
