MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

* CHRLSTCHURCH. Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., presided at the, Magistrate's Court, on Saturday. On a charge of drunkenness John Bourke, a third offender, wa,s fined Ids, with the option of twenty-four hours' imprisonment. Bridget Diggs was charged with being found on promises in Chaplin Street, without lawful excuse. She was remanded till Monday, on the application of Senior-Sergeant Mathieson. Arthur -Wilson, alias Arthur Alves, alias Nash, who was found cm the previous night in an outhouse on premises iu Southwark Street, without lawful excuse, was charged with being a. rogue and a vagabond. Accused pleaded guilty, but. said that he bad been muddled with drink and had no criminal intent. If the Magistrate would grant him consideration, be would leave town during tho day and return to the country, whence he came. Accused was convicted and discharged.
