QUEEN ELECTION.
PROFESSIONS AND COMMERCE STILL LEADING. TOTAL VOTES 1,236,800 The position of the Queens at noon yesterday remained unchanged. Thoie was a considerable dropping off in the voting, only 16.000 votes being recorded from noon on Thursday till midday yesterday, against 48,000 votes from noon of "Wednesday until midday on Thursday. The. total number of totes to date is 1.236,800, representing £15,-160. The present position of the queens is as fellows:
Xo. o Professions and Commerce (Mrs G. G. Stead). Xo. B—West and Suburbs (Mrs John Deansb .... Xo. 7—Wholesale and Retail (Miss Clifford). No. 0-Hills No. 3—Public Services (Mrs J. G. I Palmer). Xo. 4—Soldiers (Mrs G. Rhodes). No. I—lndustries (Mrs Y\ . Hill).
