MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
CHRISTCHURCH. Mr H. W. Bishop. S.M., presided at the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Patrick M'Sweeney was charged with assaulting William Barker at Sydenham on the previous night, so as to cause him actual bodily harm- Accused was remanded for a week. Bail was allowed in one surety of £-50. William Johnston was remanded for a week on a charge of being a rogue and a vagabond in that he was found unlawfully by night on tho enclosed premises of C. Duggan.
