»■ [From Our Correspondents.] WAIAU. The quarterly meeting of the Loyal - Waiau Lodge wa.s held on Tuesday evening, N.G. Brother Dunbar presiding. The election of officers resulted as follows;—G.M., Brother Dunbar; N.G., Brother D. A. M'Kie; R.S.P.G.. Brother C. E. Derrett; L. 8., Brother Foster: F.G.. Brother L. Davies; R.&, Brother G. M'Kie; L.S., Brother W. ; Shaw; E.S. Brother Power.; Guardian,! Brother A. N. M'Kie; P.S.P.G., Brother Marr. The officers were installed by P.O. Brother Oldman, P.G. Brothers Derrett and Crampton acting as con-, ductors. It was resolved to hold the' Lodge meetings monthly till the ond ot April. The Lodge officers were an-; pointed a. committee to arrange a pic-i nic for the last week in February. KAIKOURA. Mr Boyd congratulated tho Sisters and ladies on the splendid work which was- before them. Thero had heen rnanv calns on the purses of the public lately m connection with the war, but he hoped that all would respond well and help along such a worthy object. Sales proceeded briskly at tho various stalls, which were in charge of the following: —Plam and fancy work, Mesdames B. and H. Mackle, usvtants M'ssw M. Mackle Kerr Kirby and Curtain; doU stall, Mrs J. Harnett, assistants Miss** \ . and, T. Garrett and R. Mackle; produce, Mesdames Maddock and Kirov 5 plam and fancy goods. Mrs C. E. Parsons assistants Misses Bolton, Main, Hades (2), Coakley and Parsons (*)' cigarettes, Misses D. and V. Kirby A Schroder and M. Boyd and Mr w" Hailes; sweets, etc., Mesdames. M Swigan and White, assistants Misses Miles, Lomsson, Keehan, Webster. White (2), Marshall and Vangioni; re> freshments, Mesdames Stove and Waro ham, assistants Misses E. Mackle, Adair, Peoples and Dee. Miss M. M'Swigan was in charge of the bran tub. ..,:.;'
