STATE POLITICS.
NEW SOUTH WALES
COUNTRY PARTY'S POLICY.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. SYDNEY, July 16.
The Farmers' Conference withdrew a motion approving of the policy of the New Country Party, on tho grounds that to carry it would mean passing censure on tho Association's executive. The debate on tho Address-in-Reply was adjourned- It is expected to finish on Tuesday or Wednesday. (Received July 17, 0.30 p.m.) Mr Holrnan declined an invitation to attend the Farmers' Conference on tho ground that tho entrance of the Farmers' Association into party politics precluded ministerial attendance. There was a warm debate over tho non-invitation of Mr Wade to attend. Delegates characterised tho omission as base ingratitude and a deliberate insult. Tho Conference resolved not to ally itself with any political'organisation.
The Farmers' Conference resolved in favour of compulsory enrolment, preferential voting, restoration of the postal vote and electivo Legislative Council.
