The annual report of the health officer for the port of London states that 8,389,114 carcases of mutton and lamb were imported into London during 1913, of which 2,881,857 were from Australia, 5,092,054 from New Zealand, and the balance from South America. Shipments from South America had fallen off by nearly 600,000 carcases. The Australasian figures are a record. NEW SOUTH WALES EXPORT. A SCHEME PREPARED. SYDNEY, June 4. The Hon F. Flowers stated that a complete soheme for dealing with the export meat trade is in readiness for submission to Parliament next session.
