At the Christian Endeavour Convention at Bloomsbury, the Rev Howard Jamea said that the movement had to pass three stages, " Pooh pooh," "Bow avow" and "Hear, hear." It was just emerging from the second stage. They were charged with creating a cleavage in the Church. How could they prevent ardent youth and cautious ago from drifting apart?
