MR MASSEY'S MEETING.
tO TH* ZDITOR. Sir,—l thought my letter in this morning's paper was clear enough that tickets were only issued for the platform in connection with Mr Massoy's meeting, but you return to the charge and say, " Of course, tho body of the hall can easily be filled from tho platform." You appear to think that we follow the same tactics that your party followed in connection with tho meeting that was to'bo,held in the Choral Hall by Sir J. G. Ward, if the weather was not suitable for the open air. They issued tickets for platform and side entrance.
Wo were accused of the samo thing at Mr Massey's meeting a year ago. W° got printed then and issued only sufficient tickets for tho platform, about 400. The whole of the hall was absolutely free to the public. In connection with Mr Massey's meeting on Friday night, the whole of the arrangements aro in my hands, and only sufficient tickets have been printed and issued for the stage-. Tho body of the hall will hold 1000 people, and is absolutely free to tho public. Tho doors will be open at 6.30; first come first served. We regret that it will not hold more, but it is tho largest hall available. I hopo these facts are clearly enough put to satisfy even you.—l am, etc., DAVID JONES.
