Representatives of the Alanufacturers’ Association interviewed President Wilson, urging the suspension of business legislation by Congress, because capital was avoiding investment owing to the fear of empirical laws. The President expressed a desire to assist business men, and said that it would be better to do something moderately sober than wait until the Radical forces accumulated, when they might be compelled to go much further.
