UNIVERSITIES’ MATCH. DIXON IVINS FINAL.

In the final of the Universities’ match at Chiswick, Dixon defeated Harding, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6. Harding’s fine serving and remarkable volleying proved that he is a possible Davis Cup competitor, though he has not long been taking part in tournaments. Lowo only saved himself by his steadiness and judicious lobbing. Dixon’s placing discounted Harding’s reach. MIDDLESEX TOURNAMENT. LONDON, June 1. In the Middlesex tournament finals Lowe defeated Harding, 7-5, 3-6, 7-5, 8-6. Dunlop and Lowe defeated Beamish and G. Watt, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4. WORCESTERSHIRE CHAMPIONSHIP. (Received Juno 1. 11.35 p.m.) LONDON, June 1. Doust bent Parke in the final of the Worcestershire championship, 7-5, 1-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
