Sir, —As no move has yet been made towards selecting a. candidate to contest the Ellesmere seat in the Opposition interest, I would suggest that Dr Thacker be asked to come out in the Liberal interest. The doctor has many admirers in the electorate, and has in his actions as a public man shown that he is a progressive of the right stamp, and I am sure would gain the support of Liberals and Labourites, who all admire the man on account of his ability, his courage and hi» honesty.—l am, etc.,
