MR HERDMAN AT LARGE.
TO THK BDITOB.
Sir,—Now that Mr Herdman is selecting the most important, and the most progressive spots in Canterbury, to air his political troubles, I would suggest that, after Amberley, Woodstock should be visited. The Minister would ho sure of a sympathetic audience, in the shape of the proverbial man and a dog, and a few specials might be brought along from Oxford, so that without rude interrupters to be ejected, the guardians of the peace could cheer, and carry a vote of confidence in the Massey Administration.—l am, etc., SQUARE DEAL.
