PRESENTATIONS.
On Thursday evening at the_ Webb Street Methodist Church, Wellington, Mr C. M. Luke was presented with a long-service diploma of honour issued in Loudon, and bearing the seal of the World’s Sunday School Union, in consideration of thirty-five years’ active service as a Sunday school teacher and officer. At the opening of the new tramway service to St Martins on Saturday, Mr G. Scott, chairman of the Heatncote . County Council, presented Mr C. S. Howell, a very old resident of the dis- : trict who is about to leave on a visit.-, to the Old Land, with a travelling rug, and'in so doing wished him an enjoyable voyage and a safe return- Mr Howell briefly acknowledged the gift, and the assemblage gave him three hearty cheers. . - ‘ Mr R. J.
