INFANTILE PARALYSIS.

RECOVERIES BEING REPORTED. Dr Fenwick has received the following letter from Dr Valintine, Inspector of Hospitals:— April 2, 1914.

Dear Dr Fenwick,—l find that a very large proportion of cases, of infantile faralvsis are recovering from the paraysis. I believe this to be most unusual, and after what I told you I hope you have obtained full particulars from the various inspectors as to the actual results, so that I can furnish a full report on the subiect.—Yours sincerely, M. A. VALINTINE.

Dr Fenwick states that in the past it has been very rare for cases to recover. The epidemic has been a very mild one. Asked if there was any chance of 'a mistake in diagnosis, he replied, “ No. no possible chance. I wish there were.”
