A young and handsome doctor engaged as’his nurse an equally young and; handsome widow, who had a little son. The doctor, feeling that his life was a very lonely one, went into society to ‘find a wife. His selection fell - upon a young lady he met at a dance. Her father favoured the doctor, hut she favoured somebody else, and she j rejected him and broke off the engageii ment. In the meantime the widow Purse, fell in love with the doctor. Soon after the society girl rejected h him, he, while sitting alone in His house, was rung up on the telephone by the widow’s son, who, with all the ; inconsequence of youth, startled the j doctor by telling him that his mother ‘ was crying over the doctor’s photo--1 graph. The truth, of course, was out and it was the most natural thing in the world for the doctor to propose to the widow, who, of course, accepted him without delay. The little plot was well worked out, and the acting was good. “A Dream of the Wild ” was another drama. It was a clever dream story, the whole plot, dealing . with the love of an Indian maid, being introduced into a young man’s dream in an idle hour. . There was a third drama. “ The Sorrowful Shore,” of the usual moving-picture type. The two humorous pieces were entitled “ The Wife of His Choice ” and “ Her Hjusband and My Wife.” There was also a coloured piece representing New Zealand scenery. _ The same programme will be given to-day and tonight.
