DATES OF MATCHES FIXED.

NEW YORK, March 4.
The Davis Cup matches have been fixed for August 13, 14 and 15. Tho American committee has given notice to the challenging nations that the matches between Cah* ada and Australia and Britain and Belgium must be completed by July 25. Mr Wrenn points out that the date fixed avoids conflict with the English tournament in which Wilding intends to defend his title.
OPAWA v. SOUTHBRIDGE. On Wednesday the Opawa end Southbridge Clubs played a match, the Opawa.,: players scoring an easy win. The > score* were:

A lawn tennis, match was played at Hall- , well on Saturday between the Woolston and Halswell Clubs, resulting in a win for the. latter by thirty-five games.
