Mr Massey has cabled on behalf of tho Government and people of New Zealand:—"lf opportunity offers during the coming summer for a visit to tho dominion of the whole or part of tho Commonwealth fleet, New Zealand will be glad to extend a cordial welcome."

Mr Cook, the Federal Prime Minister, ha? replied:—"Much appreciate your offer. Unaware at present if it is possible for the fleet to go to New Zealand. If so, it will bo gratifying to us."
