MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
Owing to business engagements, Mr W. R. Gahagan, Mayor of Spreydon, .will be unable to seek re-election, although lie has received many requests to allow himself to bo nominated. The candidates at present in the field are Mr G. R. Whiting and Mr W. Jl Bowles. It is understood that the election will be fought largely on the question of the proposed purchase of a central domain, one candidate being a supporter of the proposal and the other an opponent.
