Maranui was awarded champion honours in thoroughbred stallion over four years. Apple Charlotte was similarly placed in mares. Locally-owned New Zealand-bred horses figured prominently in the Clydesdale classes. In the heavy section, four years, Alexander’s Pride was first and reserve champion, Glencloo Glenlyon was third, and Mark fourth. In tliree-year-olds Baron Daimler was second. In tho class under two years Baron Mercedes was first. Mares, four years—Princess Penny 1 and champion, Roso 2, Flora 3. Mares, two years—Goodhnpe 1. In the nctivo olajs stallion, three year*, Glenlyon was first.
