ODDFELLOWSHIP.

GRAND LODGE MEETING. [Per Prkss Association.] DUNEDIN, March 18. The biennial meeting of the Grand Lodge of the Independent Order of Oddfellows was opened this morning by the Grand Master, Brother R. C. Gray, of Auckland, who presided. The Mayor officially welcomed the visitors, and the Grand Master, in reply, said that the delegates present -were from every part of the dominion. The early pioneers of tho Independent Order of Oddfellows in Dunedin were men of a good stamp, with a comprehensive grasp of Friendly Society work, and they built up strong institutions all round them. The Otago and Southland lodges presented an illuminated address to Grand Master Gray, and, on the Grand Secretary's motion, tho Lodge adjourned' for a quarter of an hour out of respect to the memory of the late Grand Treasurer, Brother Alexander, who had held that office for years.
