AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND.

AN ABSURD STATEMENT DENIED. United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, May 3. The " Herald " publishes a statement by a recently arrived Now Zealander that New Zealanders wore disliked in Australia and boycotted by employers. Against this tho "Herald" sets the directly opposite opinions of three prominent representative New Zealanders resident in Sydney. One declares that tho statement is utterly absurd. New Zealanders got along in Australia better than the Australians do in New Zealand. Another says that New Zealanders were generally in demand, owing to their grit and initiative. A third says that the Australians have a most cordial regard for their kith and kin in the dominion, and all agree that they never heard of any objection to the New Zealander simply because he was a New .Zealander, and point to many prominent positions that New Zealanders occupy in Australia.
