NEW ZEALAND CADETS TO COMPETE AT TORONTO. TPer Press Association.] WELLINGTON. April 10. Tho Government has decided to send twenty Senior Cadets to Canada, in response to an invitation to compete at tho Canadian National Exhibition at Toronto. The competitions consist of drill, physical drill and shooting matches. The contingent will leave in time to arrive at Toronto on or just before August 25. The Canadian authorities undertake to provide all transport. sea and rn.il charges, and also to provide accommodation. The Cadets to be eligible must pass a medical test. In height they must be from oft Gin to sft 9in, cliest, relaxed 31in to 32in, inflated 34in, age sixteen to eighteen they also must have been efficient Cadets from the age of fourteen, smart at drill and good shots. Each military district is to supply five Senior Cadets. Before leaving for. Canada, tho boys will train in or near Wellington for a month. During their absence from home they will be required to devote a part of each day to school work. Service with the contingent will count as qualifying service under the Defence Act.
