CHARGE OF ASSAULT.
[Pzn Press Association.l AUCKLAND, April 9. Henry John Wells, Thomas Henry Lett and Robert Richardson were charged at the Police Court to-day with having assaulted Constable Mills in Grey Street at one o’clock this morning. It was stated that the constable liad been kicked over the heart and much knocked about. Ho was in the hospital and was too ill to appear. The full extent of his injuries has not yet been ascertained. Accused were remanded until April 17.
