VANCOUVER, February 25

Salt Lalco City reports that greased rails caused the wreck of a train and the loss of four lives at Bingham. The engine fell over an embankment, landing on the roofs of a bank and other buildings. It is believed that g:ease was placed on the rails by a revengeful employee.

A strange accident happened in Here, ford Street, between High Street and Manchester Streets, at 2.30 p.m yesterday. Two horsos attached to a van belonging to the New Zealand Express Company bolted down the street towards High Street at a gallop. In their career, they reached the end ot a long lino cf taxi-cabs, pulled up on the stand there. As soon as the. horses became close to the last taxi-cab they tried to go on each side oi it. The driver in the first cab had 4 very narrow escape from being badly injured. A passer-by, who saw the horses coming, cried out to him. and be just had time to jump out of his cah before the collision took place. The horses were uninjured.

T. M’Gratb, who was injured in a motor-bicyclo accident in Manchester Street on Saturday, regained consciousness at the hospital yesterday morning. Mrs Savage, wife of the proprietor of the Railway Hotel, Amberley, met with ,an accident on Sunday evening. She was crossing a broad covered drain, and on stepping on the end of n board which was unnailod it tipped up throwing Mrs Savage heavily to tho ground and breaking her collarbone.
