A line rain was recorded all over tha Ashburton County on Monday afternoon. At ' Ashburton threequarters of an inch fell, making a. total for the month of 2.42 in, compared with .95in for the whole month last year. At Methven the total rainfall for the month has been over 2in, and at Mayfiel* 2.81 in. At Kyle only .36in' was registered, yesterday morning at nine o'clock for the preceding twenty-four hours. «
